“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” ~ Albert Einstein
This blog will take help from famous people who believe in imagination, most specifically a child’s imagination.
The nurseries of BSS F-8/2 campus on 9th December,2023 opened up such great avenues of imagination both for its young students and all present at their dinosaur parade by creating the prehistoric period in its front lawn. The story telling caves, archeologic sand trays, dino fossil hunt maze, dino eggs, dino footprints everything brought the dinosuars back to life for that one day.
As we at Beaconhouse believe what Albert Einstein once said that “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” And also what Walt Disney said that “Every child is born blessed with a vivid imagination.”
The main idea for holding such activities is to prepare students to use their imagination positively since
“It is not enough to simply teach children to read; we have to give them something worth reading. Something that will stretch their imaginations- something that will help them make sense of their own lives and encourage them to reach out toward people whose lives are quite different from their own.” ~ Katherine Paterson
The event started with the Dino March where our young dinos dressed in meticulous details marched in front of the audience thumping in full glory, winning their awe and aspiration. Next was the cute dance performance of our dinos wagging their tails and showing their sharp claws danced to a catchy tune.
Since “Everything you can imagine is real.” ~ Pablo Picasso
A show and tell performance was held where Muhammad Nawaz our grade ones student with his unique interest and extensive knowledge about dinosaurs showed and explained to the younger dinos different species of these prehistoric giants.
The question and answer session at the end of the show and tell activity where the young teeming brains questioned some very logical and interesting questions surely made us realise “Imagination gives you wings and feet to experience the greatest pleasures and belief to live the life unknown” Maya Angelou.
The students at the end joined the theme based activities that implored their imagination further. The teachers and mothers joined in the activities too enjoying as much as the students “We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” ~ George Bernard Shaw
“Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. And dreams are forever.” ~ Walt Disney
