Poetry | Reading by English Club

English literary club hosted an activity on Poetry reading on Wednesday October 1st. The activity consisted of club members reading their literary works aloud for interpretation. The goal was to
allow young writers to gain the confidence to share their writing with different readers who would offer feedback in return.
The meeting started with introductions of the club members with the aim of getting to know one another before the reading. Three student read their own work, which included Club council members as well while the others read works of other writers.

The works recited were, ‘No Woman’ a poem by Basimah Usman, ’18 Hours’ by Haneen Javed and ‘Whispers of Nature’ by Musa Ayaz. The club members listened
to these readings and offered their own interpretations and remarks which allowed a new perspective for the writers.

In conclusion this activity provided a space for discussion and growth for students willing to share their art and expression through writing.
