Beaconhouse Wapda Town campus in Lahore celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm and highlighted the role of the teacher as the ‘guiding light of our lives’.
Beaconhouse WAPDA Town Campus Teachers’ Day was a moving tribute that is about thanking, appreciating and respecting those dedicated teachers who inspire young minds and influence the future generations. Students and teachers alike participated in the event, celebrating the significant role that teachers play in the lives of their students and their many contributions.
The celebration was for the people who are doing more than just passing on knowledge to instil confidence, creativity, values and helping each child discover his or her potential. It was a wonderful reminder that there is a teacher behind every confident learner and remarkable achievement in their life who has believed in the power of education and the promise of every child.
The campus team’s collaborative efforts, planning, and leadership were evident in the successful organization of the celebrations. Ms. Rabiya Wahab, the Early Years Section Head and Ms. Zunaira Akhtar, Early Years Coordinator were involved in the coordination of the Early Years celebration. Ms. Saima Salman, Lower Primary Section Head, assisted in arrangements of Lower Primary celebration. Headmistress and Section Head, Ms Rabiya Minhas, presided over the celebration for Upper Primary, Middle and Senior sections while Upper Primary Coordinator, Mrs Sayeda Khushbakht was also involved in conducting the event. Together they made it a special and memorable event for each section, and the school felt a sense of pride towards its teachers.
To make the celebration even more special and memorable for the teachers, the students presented flowers and chocolates to their teachers expressing their love and admiration for them. Simple, yet thoughtful actions, conveyed a heartfelt message of appreciation and love. The teachers’ expressions of joy and happiness were an expression of the happiness of being remembered and appreciated by the young learners of whom they care for every day. It was a lovely reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a difference, and that a teacher’s encouragement can have a life long impact.
The day on which it ended was joyous with a cake cutting ceremony by the Principal and Teachers. The assembly was a fantastic moment for the faculty to be together, to enjoy some moments of joy and happy laughter and to celebrate the important relationships within the school community. The teachers were surrounded by smiles, warmth, and a sense of accomplishment, as they celebrated a memorable day dedicated to honouring the invaluable role of teachers.
In the final moments, one message emerged from the heart of the campus: Behind every confident learner is a teacher who inspires, encourages and believes in their potential.
