Bake Sale at BDRRC was a happening event that was managed by Middle School students. The purpose of the event was to raise funds for charity. Students participated enthusiastically to ensure more collection of money. Such activities are helpful in generating life skills in students. Skills like;
- respecting authority.
- respect for other pupils’ opinions.
- punctuality.
- aspiring to achieve
- work ethic
- budgeting
- handling and management of money, etc.
Students ensured the management, sale, cleanliness and maintainance of hygiene alongside. Most importantly students tried to bring items made by themselves, using their pocket money to buy the ingredients for this noble cause. The true spirit of the following words by Khalil Jibran was visible among our excited students;
“It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.”
