“The only way to learn mathematics is to do mathematics.” – Paul Halmos

A competition based on mathematical calculations was held for students of Grades III & IV. 100% participation was done at each level in classroom based two rounds to sift the best mathematicians from each section to reach the third and final round. Teams were named after famous mathematicians from History as Al Khawarizmi, Al Bairuni, Al Battani and Al Kindi. There were four students from each section in every team.

Our honourable judges for  the day were faculty members; Sir Naeem Amir Khan and Sir Hamza Malik from Senior and Middle School respectively.

After a mind boggling and a very tight match team Yellow – Al Kindi from grade III won. The match had to be taken into the tie breaker round where they answered all ten questions correctly. From grade IV  team Green – Al Khawarizmi  won the Mathmania 2021-22 once again in a tie breaker round. It was a pleasure for all those present to be part of the electrified rounds as each team had amazing Math Wizards who were full of energy.

Well done students, we are so proud of you. A great effort made by our Math Teachers Ms Rubina Fareed and Ms Sophia Rehman for preparing and arranging everything.

It was a win win situation for all our students, as it was a whirlwind of calculations, not just for the participants but all the students sitting in the audience as well.

“It is clear that the chief end of mathematical study must be to make the students think.” – John Wesley Young
