Qawali is one<\/span> of the primary forms of musical entertain<\/span>ment that traces its rich<\/span><\/span> legacy back to the subcontinent. It is a<\/span> vibrant composition of artistic expression, <\/span><\/span>and has been celebrated profusely <\/span>throughout all times. Thus, Beaconhouse<\/span><\/span> College Program also found itself adher<\/span>ing to this wealthy tradition. Serving as a<\/span><\/span> detachment from the academic routine, it<\/span> is one of the most awaited events of<\/span><\/span> the year. Hence, it is no surprise that the<\/span> Qawali Night was met with excitement<\/span><\/span> and celebrated with intoxicating ecstasy. <\/span>Arranged by the BCP debating society, it<\/span><\/span>
aimed not only to relieve the burden on<\/span> the students’ minds, but also to <\/span><\/span>illuminate a beacon of admiration in<\/span>
their hearts for their mellifluous cul<\/span>tural <\/span><\/span>ancestry. The event bore fruit due to<\/span> the indefatigable efforts of the direc-<\/span>
tors and<\/span><\/span> the handsome contribution by the <\/span>members of the management. The <\/span>presence of <\/span><\/span>the notable qawal, Abad Ali Abad,<\/span> played a significant role in making this <\/span>event<\/span><\/span> live up to the hype that surrounded it.<\/span>
This phenomenal event was inaugurat<\/span>ed <\/span><\/span>with the classical and spiritual qawali: <\/span>\u201cTu kuja mun kuja.” Sequentially,<\/span><\/span><\/span>
many<\/span><\/span> qawalis were sung, each verse re-verbing<\/span> among the audience with its own delight,<\/span><\/span> each more elegant than its predecessor,<\/span> and more fragrant than its posterity. <\/span><\/span>Using traditional musical instruments and <\/span>modern rhythmic modes, the qawal<\/span><\/span> inebriated the audience with his elating <\/span>performance. Students clapped, sang and <\/span><\/span>even danced with their souls swept away by<\/span> the tides of musical sensation. <\/span><\/span>Certainly, this eventful night served quite<\/span>
complementary to the great college life<\/span><\/span> that awaited the entire student body!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
