This year the stage for the annual play was set by the artists of Kinder Garten and Lower Primary. The annual play was organized under the banner of Spectacollo, the Dramatic club in which the students performed one of the plays of Shakespeare Pericles. Students worked tirelessly and effortlessly in making this play a successful event. Ma’am Sabahat Malik, our worthy Principal was the Chief Guest for the event. Our Head Mistress Ma’am Afshan Mumtaz welcomed her and thanked her for her presence.
The event started with a mesmerizing performance from the students of KG followed by the welcome performance of Grade 1 and 2.
The play is based on the constant battle between righteousness and wickedness, which is portrayed by the angel and the devil. The idea of play revolved around the concept of evil versus pure and students’ performances conveyed this message through their astonishing performances. Dialogue delivery and expressions of the performers were just according to the need of the scene.
The play encompassed a LED light performance of the students of KG, in which they portrayed the life of Marina from when she was a child to a beautiful teenage girl. The audience cheered for the little artist as they saw them floating their wings and spreading light all around. At the end of the play, the MIME act enhanced beauty by depicting different scenarios like sadness and happiness.
What a memorable event it was, it helped in boosting the stage confidence and help them become a better performer for future events.
