Beaconhouse Main Campus Canal, Faisalabad focuses on active learning. Learning by employing different interactive activities and by dressing up as different characters is a unique way to embed vocabulary of the alphabet whether it is in Urdu or English. This week students of Nursery were learning daal and its family in their Urdu subject. A student of Nursery was dressed as Dakia that is a postman and an invite for this activity was sent to all the section heads through him. School heads including Ma’am Shaila Shafqat (head of Primary Block), Sir Zahoor (Head of Middle Block), and Ma’am Nadia Aamir (Head of Senio Block) were invited along with our SM Ma’am Afshan Mumtaz who praised the hard work of the teachers and enjoyed the activities of the students.

Students personified characters that had the beginning sound of daal and its related alphabets like Doctor, Dhabba (food stall), Dada, Daadi (Grand Parents, Darzi (Tailor), Dakia (Postman), and many more. Students and teachers enjoyed Daal Chawal and Doodh Pati to give the concept and vocabulary of the daal family. Daal ki Dawat proved that the best way to learn a difficult word is to master it uniquely.
