October 3rd, 2025 was filled with colors, laughter, and a sprinkle of excitement as our little Pre-Nursery learners took part in a joyful Pre-Birthday Activity. This delightful day was specially designed to introduce them to the concept of birthdays — a celebration that brings smiles, love, and a sense of being special.
Since our birthday theme had just begun, this activity gave our youngest learners a fun and meaningful way to understand what a birthday is all about. Everything was carefully planned to help them explore the different elements that make a birthday celebration so joyful.
From colorful balloons and birthday invites to cheerful songs and yummy cakes, the children experienced the joy of setting up a birthday party. They learned what things are needed to organize a celebration — like decorations, cake, candles, music, and of course, happy faces.
The concept of invitations was introduced in a playful way. The children were shown how birthday invites are made and given to friends — helping them understand the idea of calling others to be part of our special moments. Tiny hands helped in making simple, colorful invites, adding to the fun.
One of the most exciting parts of the activity was learning how to pack a gift! Children wrapped small boxes with shiny paper and ribbon, feeling the joy of giving — not just receiving. Through this, they discovered that gifting is about making someone else feel happy and special, and it sparked a lovely sense of kindness and sharing.
This pre-birthday activity wasn’t just about fun — it was about building early social understanding. Our learners are beginning to see how celebrations are planned, how we invite and care for others, and how giving can bring just as much happiness as receiving.
It was a beautiful day, full of play and real learning — the perfect start to our birthday theme that is the part of the curriculum. Our Pre-Nursery stars left the activity with happy hearts, a better understanding of birthdays, and the beginning of a very special lesson: that celebrating others is just as magical as being celebrated.
