When children don their favorite character\u2019s outfits or personae, they feel they have all the powers and abilities of those characters. It provides them with the opportunity to go outside their own or external limitations.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to empower imagination and develop self-confidence in our students, we had a \u201cBook<\/strong> character<\/strong> day<\/strong>\u201d at Nursery and Pre-nursery levels of LMA 6E on Friday 4th<\/sup> March\u201922. Children brought their favorite book characters to life by dressing up like them. They felt overwhelmed by having a ramp walk, displaying their costumes and introducing themselves as the character they were dressed up in.<\/p>\n

\u201cPretend play brings a child\u2019s imagination into the forefront, whether it\u2019s pretending a mud pie is a delicious cake or fighting bad guys as Superman.\u201d -Anonymous\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Characters serve as the driving force in any story. Dressing up is the most popular way to encourage children to talk about what they\u2019re reading. Elsa, Sophie, Spider-Man, Superman, Captain America and Batman all looked fantastic in their exuberant outfits. It was a treat to watch.<\/p>\n

Students of grade 3s narrated different stories in front of Nursery and pre nursery students. They used different amazing props which grabbed the attention of our little super characters. In order to acknowledge the effort, these older students received thank you cards by the younger students.<\/p>\n

It was a fun-filled day with exciting literacy lessons based on favorite book characters.<\/p>\n
