Beaconhouse School System Cluster 13 Secondary Section Teachers and Coordinators were provided with insightful perspectives on new teaching and learning techniques through a workshop on “The Inclusive Classroom” —– the very essence of 21st Century teachers and learners. The Senior Mistress, Ms. Sarwat Wafa, celebrated the full learning opportunity by involving the participants in a variety of enriching activities. She gave the attendees suggestions on how to create an inclusive classroom environment by making all students, regardless of their identities, preferred learning methods, or educational backgrounds—feel encouraged intellectually and academically to develop a sense of belonging. She also emphasized that to increase productivity, instructors and students should work together to promote thoughtfulness, respect, and academic excellence as well as to meet the difficulties of a constantly changing world in a meaningful yet assured manner.
