A Summer of Enrichment and Enjoyment
This summer, our school organized the “Fuel Up Your Summer” program to enhance students’ skills during the holidays. The program was a resounding success, with students participating in various enjoyable and educational activities.
Exploring Nature and Creativity
One of the highlights was the nature walk, where students gathered leaves and flowers to create beautiful frames. They also engaged in nature painting on pebbles, showcasing their artistic talents.
Hands-On Learning and Motor Skills Development:
To enhance motor skills, students made slime and sensory bags, which proved to be both fun and beneficial. Additionally, they were taught basic environmental skills, such as sewing a button, which are essential for self-sufficiency.
Boosting Writing and Vocabulary
The program also focused on developing writing skills. Students learned to write creatively and independently, expanding their vocabulary with new words.
STEM Challenges and Scientific Exploration
STEM challenges, such as well-making, encouraged problem-solving and critical thinking. Science experiments, like observing the inflation of a balloon when baking soda and vinegar react, sparked curiosity and excitement among the students.
Storytelling and Crafting Fun
Storytelling sessions captivated their imaginations, and the creation of hand puppets added an element of craft and play.
Celebratory Pool Party and Movie Time
The program culminated in a pool party and movie time, providing a perfect blend of relaxation and enjoyment.
Recognizing Achievements and Building Community
To celebrate the students’ achievements and newly acquired skills, certificates were awarded, motivating them further. Mothers of the students expressed their appreciation for the teachers’ efforts, and together, students and mothers enjoyed games, fostering a sense of community.
Overall, “Fuel Up Your Summer” was a fantastic initiative, leaving students enriched and eager for more learning adventures.
