X C and IXM of BCCM hosted a farewell celebration for the graduating students of XI C and 10M on February 24, 2023. The black and golden farewell-themed party with white lilies, golden glass chimneys , balloons and fairy lights set the stage for the occasion. The ceremony commenced as the departing students pulled up to the school’s entrance in their cars and eye-catching buggies and were greeted by their host classes(X C+ IX M) warmly and joyfully. The event started with the Holy name of Allah, followed by a welcome speech by Shamil Liaquat of IX M. To add even more energy to the celebrations, the gifted Rayyan Butt of X C treated them to a musical treat by dedicating a song in his soulful voice. After that, the audience were thrilled by the performers’ originality and the humorous lyrics of the following activity, a Qawwali by X C, which ended up being a mirror of the qualities of the departing batches. The true AHHH moment with the introduction of “Students’ Titles,” the long-awaited high point of the festivities with chants and chuckles finally arrived.
The nostalgic tour of the school memories through documentary’s sentimental journey was an opportunity to the graduating class to reminisce their captivating memories down the memory lane. It proved to be an exciting experience amidst the cheers and tears of them. The event ended with a heart-touching and well-rounded farewell speech by Cambridge and Matric representatives; Ali Sheraz(X M) and Amra Hassan (XI C).
The teachers received keepsakes as well to further enhance the evening’s memory. The party came to a standstill with the entitlement of Boy and Girl of the Evening; Salman Khan (X M) Hania Hamza were crowned for that precious show-stopper moment. The Pricipal, Ms Shireen Shafqat and Senior Mistress, Ms Sarwat Wafa wished all of our recent graduates the best of luck in their future endeavours. The party ended up with a sumptuous dinner. Host and guest classes exchanged heartfelt messages, and promises with countless pictures to stay in touch with each other.
In conclusion, school farewell was a humorous and entertaining event that the graduating classes will remember for the rest of their lives.
