Business Conference
The businesses around the globe are recovering in the post covid 19 world. The students at BCP Multan arranged a Business Conference on 28th of September, with the name of ‘New Normal’, to have an insight into the businesses after the seismic shift felt in the business world.
The students worked in 3 teams, in guidance of their instructor’s Mr. Khurram Liaqat and Ms. Javeria Hashmi. Ms. Saadia Yaqub, BCP Multan principal, herself contributed by overseeing the activities. Each team explored a different type of a business that included Business E-Commerce, Cultural Products and Women Entrepreneurs. The teams invited guest speakers who were well versed in the area of their expertise. Mr. Farrukh Malik who is mentor in the largest e-commerce network in Pakistan, Enablers. Mr Farrukh has collaborated with etsy, ebay and Amazon. Ms. Filza Mumtaz spoke about the cultural products. She is a Beaconhouse alumni and has made countless contributions to make the cultural products of Multan a success. She owns the Brand WEEN and SHAHS. Ms. Novaira Fahad who is the head of Women Chamber of Commerce Multan was invited to shed some light on the challenges of women entrepreneurs after covid 19.
The purpose was to bring diversity and to understand the new avenues that these businesses have discovered. Teams also made documentaries by visiting the various business sites including a Salon run by Ms. Maira Malik, Ms. Hina Akhtar’s work station for designer dresses and Mr. Farrukh’s setup. Also Ms. Fatima Leghari, a famous artisan was interviewed online. These documentaries were presented. The guests were requested to establish a way forward.
What made the event all the more exuberant were the arrangements that included a well-lit photobooth and a striking seating arrangement.
The participants worked tirelessly and showed true team spirit. The conference was not only a learning experience but also a huge success. It was undoubtedly remarkable. The efforts of the students, the admin and the teachers were commended by the entire audience.
