Election Day happens to be one momentous day at BCP Multan. This year the elections were much awaited due to hurdles put forward by covid 19 last year. This being the essential part of a student’s life at BCP, the students participate with fervor and enthusiasm.  The corridors are buzzed up with chants, cheers and slogans of the favorite candidates. The candidates have an adrenaline rush as they wait for the results as winning the elections is indeed a milestone achieved for them.

Elections are a true reflection of the values and traditions of Beaconhouse. The purpose of this day is to make the students responsible citizens by understanding the essence of voting. Also, it enhances and refines the leadership skills of our youth.

Certain procedures were followed at BCP Multan for the commencement of elections. The nominees had to pass through a criteria set by the Election Committee. There were 14 categories, including that of head boy, head girl, deputies, sports and class representatives. Once their eligibility was confirmed
students were interviewed by the committee. Nominees made vigorous speeches to convince their potential voters of benefits of electing them. They also put up banners of their symbols. On the Election Day the students were then requested to cast their votes in the relevant polling booths, to the nominees
they believed would be their true representatives. The votes were later counted by the deputed teachers in presence of the polling agents appointed by the nominees. And at last came the much anticipated moment. The students were gathered. The results were announced by the honourable
principal.

The role of election committee cannot be ignored. The committee included the experienced and prestigious teachers, Ms. Neelam Naz, Mr. Faisal Rafique, Mr. Raheel Mukhtar and Ms. Javeria Hashmi. It is headed by the esteemed principal Ms. Saadia Yaqub who ensured the Election Day went smooth and disciplined but also full of learning.
