The art and profession of teaching is the foundation on which civilizations are built. Since the dawn of history, humans have passed down knowledge to next generations through instruction and teaching. It is no wonder, then, that our religion has also accorded great importance to learning and the people who impart learning, i.e; the teachers.
A teacher , in any day and age, is doing the Lord’s work, bringing the light of knowledge to the tabula rasa that is the impressionable mind of a child. Teachers wield both power and responsibility for in their hands rests the shaping of the future. And teachers, who are cognizant of this historic role, do their utmost to ensure that the future of society is built on love, compassion and a discerning sense between right and wrong.
October 5th, was the day to celebrate that historic role of teachers. Beaconhouse Main Campus organized a morning assembly where teachers were welcomed on a red carpet. Students shared thought of the day and sang beautiful songs for their beloved teachers. The teachers were welcomed on the stage to share their views about teachers day. They were presented flowers, cards and personalized mugs as a token of appreciation . In the end, the Principal Ms. Asifa Tareen paid tribute to the teachers.
