We often hear people saying the big messages and slogans like:
“Leave the better world for our kids”
While we as a school appreciate this notion, we have a slightly varied opinion. Why not raise a better generation of kids who will create a world much better than what it is today? Why not teach them the virtues of respect, empathy, care and kindness. Why not teach them to be kind to themselves and to the environment they live in. In order to promote this goal Beaconhouse Early Years ran a series of rigorous and extensive exercises that involved students in experiences where they were made aware of the true essence of kindness by engaging them in a range of activities that helped deepen their understanding of the notion “What does it mean to be kind”.
This might be a little effort but, “Little steps in the right direction can lead to big changes”. Here is our little attempt at bringing about a positive change.
