Cultural Day at Walton Campus Upper Primary

Cultural days are a national celebration of arts and culture. Such events are always encouraged at the institute to build the character of students in a positive direction and to inculcate ownership and belongingness in them for their country. Through such events, students learn the importance of their local heritage and culture.

Cultural Day was celebrated at Walton Campus with full enthusiasm, zeal and fervor. All students and staff wore traditional regional dresses. Regional stalls were set up by Grade 4s and 5s; for the students to learn about different areas of our beautiful land. Food court with traditional eatables like, Kulfi, Dahi baray, Gol gappas, Halwa Puri , Jalebi etc was available for the children to enjoy the feast. Grade 3 presented a morning assembly with traditional songs and dances from different regions of Pakistan. Bedecked with bright colours, the stage was a befitting backdrop for this vibrant and colourful event.

While sharing her thoughts Princpal, Ms Tehmina shared the significance of distinct values of acceptance, peace, tolerance and respect in Pakistani culture and the way they have evolved over a period of time. She gave an important message to the students to develop a conducive environment around them and to integrate diversity and acceptance for better outcomes in student life, real world organizations and personal arenas while respecting the Pakistan’s cultural values.
