‘Sports has the power to change the world’ Nelson Mandela
Beaconhouse Walton Campus, Lower Primary Section held its Track and Field Event on 5th March, 2022 with great enthusiasm and delight. The programme begun with the Torch Bearing Ceremony followed by the welcome note by the principal Ms. Tehmina Lodhi. The theme of the event was ‘Protecting Our Planet Starts with you’. The Principal, Ms. Tehmina Lodhi and the worthy Chief Guests Mr. Salman Iqbal Butt (Director Development at Asian Athletics) and Mr. Rao Zahid (Vice Chairman Sports Board, Punjab) took the salute of the remarkable Athlete Walk by all participants. The well-coordinated Karate display, expertly synchronized Aerobics and lively P.T Display charmed the audience. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of liveliness for the young athletes. The event ended with a Tug of War for the energetic and enthusiastic fathers while the mothers participated in the race where first they had to thread the needle and then stitch a button on a piece of cloth and run to the finishing line. The winners of all races were awarded with trophies by the Chief Guest.
